Patrick Rodriguez y Requena, stage name Anda Loup, is a guitarist, singer, and DJ with repertoire from Europe, Latin America, Middle-East and the US.
Rodriguez learned music and theater arts starting at the age of nine in the Gypsy Kingdom of southern France but hailed from a family with Spanish roots in Andalucia—called “andaloup” by the French, it stuck as his stage name.
He worked in Paris for radio, TV, and recording studios and eventually made his way to the U.S. after years of touring Japan, the South Pacific, the Caribbean, and Mexico as orchestra director, premier performer, trilingual liaison and MC with CLUB MED, the French resort giant.
An expert DJ, Rodriguez can hold down a one-man show, sing in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, or play a crowd with pop music from around the globe. A versatile performer of jazz standards, blues, or home-grown American favorites, he brings a local fan base from a decade of performing at Dallas night spots announced on UNT Jazz Radio 88.1 FM and Avanti Euro Bistro’s full-page ads in The Dallas Morning News Guide.
As far as the name goes, "ANDA LOUP" is the use of two foreign words:
"ANDA: Spanish for "GO"
"LOUP": French for "WOLF"
